Ok, interesting idea. With relevance to whistles, in other words, live steam models? If it was just a general model rail forum I'm not sure it would attract a lot of those who've already got their own forums (I assume), but I'm open to being proved wrong!

I've created a sub-forum for now under the Railroad forum, if it proves popular enough I'll make it have a proper forum in the main index

I would actually recommend less categories. If I wanted to post pictures of a train horn, I'm not sure which "forum" to post in. To me, it seems as though there are multiple categories to post in. Just my 2 cents.

I'll have a think about seeing if it can be slimmed down: initially it was an exercise in seeing which categories might be popular.

There should be a section for new members to introduce themselves. I actually just joined today, but I don't know where I'm supposed to introduce myself.
