EMD bronze bell

Just wondering how much an EMD bronze bell would weigh.

At a guess I would perhaps say 25kg / 50 lbs, but I don't have one to check.

Yeah, I thought bronze was less dense then steel, and the steel bell weighs ~40lbs so I thought it would be around 30-40.

The last EMD bronze bell I received was very well packed in a masonite-reinforced, double-walled shipping carton with plenty of closed-cell polyethylene foam inside; without any hardware or accessories whatsoever (such as a spacer block, ringer, etc) it was listed on the shipping label as 49 pounds.
