What type horn on this ALCO switcher??

NYNHH RXR Switcher horn type is this?

Same or similar type. Back in those days air horns weren’t that common, most non steam equipment (electric locomotives and new diesels) had air whistles. Those curved horns were some kind of early horn from WABCO.

The horn photo you posted is a pair of Airchime KSV-1 and KSV-2's. Those are the Hyson Airchime versions which feature an adjustable cap. The horn on the old Alco switcher appear to be a WABCO AC or AAC-1.
