Diesel locomotive bell brass part number (?)
Diesel locomotive bell brass part number (?)
Does anyone have a Baldwin, F-M or possibly some other minority-builder parts list for diesel locomotives that can confirm the part number "732418" identically stamped or cast into the top of a number of 12" diameter bronze bells? They are definitely not EMD and I do not believe they are Alco bells.

Re: Diesel locomotive bell brass part number (?)
I have a Bell with the numbers 732418 a cast stamp that looks like a shield and the letter C.
Found in a round house being demolished in the 80's. My Bell has a hole in the side like it was used with a pull string.

Necropost update: at this point, these bells have been provisionally determined to be from Fairbanks-Morse locomotives.
