World's Largest Factory Whistle c.1940

Here's a photo of the Chemainus Sawmill sawmill whistle, now located in the Chemainus museum on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Also attached is an image from an old AirChime Air and Steam whistles catalog, showing a young Robert Swanson with his new invention. This three chime steam whistle weighed over a ton and was used for emergencies and shift changes at the sawmill from 1940 until it was removed in 1983.

Reminds me of the whistles that adorned the funnels of Titanic and Olympic, huge!
