Kockums....Leslie's father
20210206_145948.jpg G'day all, I have a very interesting and very influential locomotive horn to share with you tonight. This 3 chime is not (as first glance could mistake) a Leslie "bronze tabby"! It's a Swedish made Kockums horn, built in the very early 50s (or even late 1940s) for 25 English Ele...

Kahlenberg D-2
G'day mates, Here's my little Kahlenberg honker, I've mounted a Graham White 353-100 valve to it and set it on a chunk of hardwood as a base. It also has my standard 3/4"bsp cam lock fittings as quick couplers. I got this horn from a marine collector in Tasmania via a 2nd hand dealer a few years ago...

Sanshin Dengu mfg Suez Canal searchlight
G'day mates, This is my 31 inch, 2Kw, 110v Suez Canal searchlight. It has two globes on a rotating lamp changer, it also has a split reflector that can be adjusted on the back of the housing to provide two beams for navigation of the Canal at night. The beam can be focused for intensity and various ...

Steam Locomotive N430 headlight
G'day mates, Here is my dad and his prized steamy headlight from a VR N class loco, 430. This locomotive hauled the museum train all over Victoria in 1956 when British Royalty visited Australia. He's proudly got it displayed after many years in storage and it sits above my Suez Canal searchlight in ...

Australian Tyfon
G'day mates, This is one of two RVB Engineering Products S200VL "Hurricane Sirens" I have, they were known as "5 Mile Sirens" due to their wide area coverage. Here in Australia we used them in mines to alert people to a "shot" about to be fired, they were fitted in petrochemical plants as disaster s...

Aussie Rig (maiden voyage)
G'day mates! Here's some pics and a vid of the first run in my new rig. I had a Toyota Hilux for many years that used to carry 66 gallons of air out to my honking site and once it was finished I had to come back to town to recharge, just on 12 months ago I sold the hilux and bought a Holden Crewman ...
